Eva Cassidy was an American singer and guitarist who gained popularity after her death at the young age of 33. She was known for her beautiful voice, which blended elements of jazz, blues, folk, and gospel, and her unique interpretations of classic songs. Although she recorded several albums, she only achieved mainstream success after her version of Over the Rainbow became a hit. Despite her talent, Cassidy never sought fame or fortune and remained true to her music. Her life was cut short by melanoma, but her legacy lives on through her recordings and the impact she had on the musicians and fans who were lucky enough to hear her perform.
